I am using the latest version of the Windows Live Writer to write this post. Hopefully it works. But I have noticed a problem with WLW already. My PC is running Windows XP 64 bit edition and it has the latest version of WindowBlinds running. I do not have an issue with any other application. Only with WLW, the menu bar is scrambled.

Do you use Windows Live Writer Beta to post to your wordpress blog? Did your RSS readers complain about getting multiple copies of the same post through the feed? It may be a problem with the way Windows Live Writer Beta is publishing your post to wordpress. For every post I made through Windows Live Writer Beta, I could see a new post and updated entry on my dashboard.

I probably should move all my important stuff to gmail. Right now I needed some information I stored on hotmail for quick reference and I cannot get it.

I tried using the Windows Live Writer to post to WordPress. I think it would have worked if I did not include an image. I will have to workout a mechanism to upload pictures and use them in the Live Writer. But that is definitely not efficient.
What I liked about the Live Writer is its familiar user interface and rich features. It resembles other Office applications that I am very familiar with. Too bad that my wordpress account does not support custom CSS. I haven’t paid for it.
It also allows me configure multiple blogs and post to them. I do not need to open multiple pages and post from each. I don’t think I will post the same thing on multiple blogs. I haven’t posted on my blogger account in a while but it has a different category altogether.
The spell checker is pretty good. The wordpress spell checker does not even recognize the word blog or even WordPress.

I just downloaded a bunch of tools from the http://ideas.live.comsite. Windows Live Writer beta looks promising. So far I have used only IE for posting to wordpress. Probably next time I will try to use Windows Live Writer beta and see how it is. I also downloaded Windows Live Mail desktop beta and it has a feed reader. Now I have too many free feed readers. I have loaded all these applications on the old laptop with Vista RC2 and opened them all up and still able to work without hitches.
