I strive not to build a brand around me. So, I keep changing the name of the blog, tag line etc.

English is not my first language. You can expect plenty of bad grammar and some incorrect spelling on this web site. I apologize for my ignorance and I am too old to master English now.

This website is hosted on a Linux server in my living room. There are two Linux servers dedicated for hosting this web site. One that serves as the MySQL DB server. The other one is purely an apache server host which is open to the outside world but not in DMZ. The server that runs MySQL also runs Samba. Update: I have Samba on all the servers now. I now also have another server that runs DNS and DHCP. That is not accessible from outside either.

The wordpress theme used on this site is my learning experiment. It is a 100% xhtml 1.1 & CSS compliant theme. The theme is very light weight. As light as the classic WordPress theme. There is more work to be done on widgets, catching up with latest features in WordPress and so on. I found that the theme output sometimes get corrupted because Widgets do not comply with the standards. The theme is also not compatible with IE and iPhone Safari browsers in some aspects.

The views expressed on this blog are all mine unless stated and not necessarily accurate in all aspects. Most of the negative posts on this blog are just angry ramblings. Please pay more attention to positive posts.

I am not a fan of any particular brand. I use Microsoft, Apple, Google and Open Source products. I pick and choose products based on their quality and usefulness. I am not comfortable with completely closed ecosystems. But if there are no good alternatives, I will use them. I am not religious about any views including religion. I also have no affinity to any particular ideology. Based on my personal experience, I do think that capitalism works better than other systems because it exploits our need for comfort, privacy and ownership.
