I just downloaded and installed XNA and ran the MyFirstXNAGame sample. It ran fine but it brought the rest of my PC to a stand still. It is a 3.4 GHz Pentium D PC with ATI X850 graphics and 256 MB video memory. I understand this is just a beta. I am not sure what is wrong here.
Next step was to try the space war and I got this error. I have no clue what this means. I am excited about the whole program though.
My friend was able to get it running. It may be some configuration on my machine that is causing problems.
I will give it another try, uninstalling and reinstalling everything. I have already submitted feedback to XNA team.
